Llamamiento para apoyar los esfuerzos de paz

El llamamiento a la paz de Abdullah Öcalan realizado el 27 de febrero de 2025 ha sido un momento crucial para Turquía y el pueblo kurdo, con el que se pretende poner fin a décadas de conflicto y allanar el camino hacia una sociedad democrática. Este llamamiento representa una oportunidad vital para aportar estabilidad a Turquía y Oriente Próximo, proteger los derechos humanos y facilitar la reconciliación.

Todas las partes deben aprovechar este momento histórico para trabajar juntas por la paz y la justicia para todos los turcos y kurdos. La respuesta positiva del Partido de los Trabajadores del Kurdistán (PKK) al llamamiento de Öcalan es un hecho alentador que todas las partes deben acoger con satisfacción. La participación de Öcalan en el proceso de paz es crucial para su éxito. Tras más de 25 años en prisión, su puesta en libertad no solo defendería sus derechos fundamentales, sino que también señalaría el compromiso de atender las necesidades y los derechos de la comunidad kurda.

Nosotros, los abajo firmantes, hacemos un llamamiento a Turquía y a todas las partes implicadas para que den pasos decisivos hacia una paz duradera. Invitamos a intelectuales, activistas y movimientos de mujeres, artistas, académicos, periodistas, juristas y activistas de derechos humanos y de la sociedad civil a que firmen la declaración y apoyen nuestro llamamiento.

Este proceso debe conducir al establecimiento de una sociedad en la que todos los turcos y kurdos puedan disfrutar de paz, igualdad y libertad y mirar juntos hacia un futuro mejor. El apoyo de la comunidad internacional es crucial para hacer realidad esta visión, reconociendo el impacto transformador de la paz en Turquía sobre toda la región.
